Where are you located?
We are located in Venice Lido, an island in front of Venice. You can reach us easily by waterbus. Once drop off from the waterbus we are located 5 minutes far away. Our scooters can't leave Venice Lido island.
What are your office hours, and when can we pick up the Scooter?
We are open 7 days a week 10:00 a.m. - 07:00 p.m.. We have an office and if you book in advance we try to arrange pick-up and drop-off within this time frame.
How do I book a rental, or a tour?
You can book your rental or your tour in two different ways.

Send us an email, and we will reply to you with all the relevant information and paperwork to fill out (we will always reply within 24 hours)

Do you have other types of scooters?
No at the moment
Do I need a motorcycle license? Do I need an International Drivers license?
- You need to be 18 + years old
- You must have with you a valid European Union car driving license.
- If you come from non - European Union countries you need an International Driver's Permit (IDP) that is required if your national driver's licence is not in Roman script. An International Driver's Permit (IDP) is also mandatory by law for non-European Union renters except for customers from the following countries who can rent with their national driver's licence + passport: Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa and United States. The IDP translates the national driver's licence into various languages and is not accepted without the national licence.
Please note that, if stopped by the Police while driving without an IDP, you might incur into a fine and the vehicle may be confiscated for 3 months and you will pay a fine between € 400,00 and € 1.600,00. In this case, Venice Scooter Rental reserves the right to charge you the amount of the non-waivable excess applicable for the vehicle.
Can 2 people ride on a scooter?
Yes, two people can easily ride a Scooter. Of course anyone can be a passenger, including children (the Italian Law minimum age for child passengers is 6 years old).
What is the maximum weight capacity for a Scooter?
A Scooter can carry maximum 180 kg, or 396 pounds
What kind of insurance is included in the rental?
Included in the rental price is third party liability and third party property damage insurance as required by Italian law. However, you are not covered for any damage that you may cause to the Scooter.
In Italy, it is impossible to get insurance to cover damage to a motor scooter. This is because most motor scooters are operated in Italian cities where they could suffer damage, usually when they are parked and knocked off their kick-stands.
We offer on request a driver insurance for a supplement
Will you deliver the Scooter to our hotel or rental property, or waterbus terminal to Venice?
Yes if you will choose the "daily" option or more
Will you pick us up from our hotel, rental property or waterbus terminal to Venice?
Same as above.
I have never ridden a scooter, can I still try one of your Scooters?
Previous experience driving a scooter or motorbike is advantageous and highly advised. If you have not ridden one, then you should do so before you come to Italy because we are not a driving school and we don’t provide any lesson on riding, but only instructions on how to operate the Scooters.
Our Scooters are easy to ride, but a good sense of balance and coordination is required. They are lighter and easier to drive than a larger motorbike but they are also heavier than a bike.
You will be driving a motor vehicle on public roads. You are responsible for your safety but also for the safety of other motorists, bikers and pedestrians. You must be able to control the scooter and drive it competently.
The bottom line is that we just want everyone to have a safe and happy holiday!
Travel Insurance
If possible we recommend that you have supplemental travel/medical insurance.
Do you charge for excess kilometers?
No, you can ride as much as the time booked!
EXTRA CHARGES
In case of return of the vehicle for any reason within 20 minutes of the time of hire, Venice Scooter Rental refund the customer the agreed price less than € 5.00 deductible for any lost rental. It's established a 10 minutes franchise of the scheduled time for drop off, term after which Venice Scooter Rental will automatically charge the next rate
The vehicles are regularly checked and made efficient and suitable for driving.
Any minor damage that do not affect the use and suitability of the guide will be reported to the delivery by us and you check them carefully because the return will be checked and any scratch / damage / lost will be charged according to the following rates:
A - MIRRORS / BRAKE LEVER / ARROWS / KEY OR LOCK - € 20,00
B - FRONT WHEEL SHIELD / FRONT HANDLEBAR SHIELD - € 100,00
C - GREY PLASTICS / FOOT SHIELD / UNDERSHIELD / LEG SHIELD – € 100,00
D - CLEANING SCOOTER FROM MUD, DUST OR SAND - € 5,00
E - PUNCTURES – € 10,00
€ 20,00 FOR MECHANICAL INTERVENTION MUST BE ADDED FOR ANY DAMAGE
